Assessment and Treatment of Sexual Assault Trauma

Learning Objectives:
Define sexual assault and legal classifications
Understand gender differences in symptom presentation and intervention
Identify and address acute and chronic sexual assault trauma symptoms
Identify and address secondary trauma symptoms in client, client support system, and therapist
Teach client to manage trauma symptoms, re-establish self-control, and resume activities of daily living
Identify and address self-defeating behaviors and co-occurring conditions
Advocate and empower client through interface with community and social networks
This seminar addresses the assessment and treatment of sexual assault trauma resulting from forcible sexual assault, including rape.

Continuing Education Credit:
LSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC: The Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board has approved this organization to provide Category I Continuing Education for LSW, LCSW, LMFT, and LMHC. However, licensees must judge the program's relevance to their professional practice. Provider #98000521A.
Psychologists: The Indiana State Psychology Board has approved this organization to provide Category I Continuing Education for psychologists. Provider #98000524A.
Other Professionals: This seminar qualifies for CEUs as required by many licensing boards and professional organizations. Save your course outline and certificate of attendance and contact your board or organization for specific filing requirements.
All Professionals: Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance when payment has been confirmed and the seminar has been attended in its entirety. No partial credit for CEUs will be given, and any payment returned NSF will be charged a processing fee as allowed by law. In order to process CEUs, please include license type and number in registration or bring to the seminar.
Cancellations and Late Registrations:
Cancellations received at least five (5) business days before the seminar will be refunded in full. Cancellations received less than five (5) business days before the seminar will be refunded minus a $20 administrative fee, or credit toward a future seminar will be issued. If you register and make payment, but do not attend the seminar in its entirety, there is no refund and no Certificate of Attendance or CEUs will be issued. Space permitting, you may register at the door; but please contact us in advance to confirm availability. Seminar materials, a Certificate of Attendance, and CEUs will be issued once payment is confirmed and the seminar is attended in its entirety.
